Cannon is the birthday boy today...I can't believe he is 7. Cannon brings a lot of fun energy into our home. He is also the kid that I have the hardest time figuring out. He is fun, determined, handsome, funny, naturally talented, and smart. We are celebrating his birthday in Disneyland. I hope this is a birthday he will never forget. We love you Cannon.

1st Day of School...
This summer was really busy, so I was looking forward to the schedule and everyday routine that school brings. This summer was hard due to the fact that my 2 older boys wanted to always play with friends and be on the go doing fun things. I felt like their "cruise director" all summer. I loved providing them fun activities and letting them have friends over all summer, but it really threw my younger 2 boys' schedules off. Crew, my 2 year old, would get so upset with the comings and goings of his brothers that he would just throw fit after fit about wanting to go and do what his brothers were doing. I have fond memories of the summer of 2010, but it was also crazy busy. Since school has started, life from 8:30 - 3:30 is very calm and scheduled. We don't have a whole lot going on and I am enjoying staying in my house with a little less chaos. 3:30 hits and it is a different type of crazy from our summer...we usually have dinner at 4:30 so the boys can eat before football practice. We do homework whenever we can sneak it in, the boys shower, we read scriptures and say prayers as a family, the boys read, and it is bedtime. So far I like this new routine, but I have to be organized and get lots of stuff done during the day, so I can be 100% in mom mode from 3:30 on. Here is to hoping that my boys love the 2010-2011 school year...

Creed is 8 months old...
This last month, Creed has learned a ton of new tricks...he is definitely keeping us on our toes now.
-He can push himself up into a sitting position and can pull himself up to a standing position
-He still loves his baby food...he is eating 12 ounces of baby food a day and around 24 ounces of formula a day.
-He loves to play with toys
-He loves to scream...he is our first baby that has ever done this and it can get quite annoying ;)
-He takes 2 naps a day
-Had his first sleepover with Grandpa and Grandma
-Loves the tub
-Goes to bed around 7, gets up around 4:30 or 5 for a bottle and sleeps till 9 or 10
-Is off his heart medicine as of this week. We are watching him closely and checking his heart rate multiple times a day.
He is a happy baby, but likes lots of attention. We love him so much and can't believe he is only a few months away to being 1 year old. We are just trying to soak it all in and enjoy each stage he goes through.

10K & Kids Mile Run...
I hate running, but when some friends talked about running in a 10K, I decided to find a training schedule and dedicate my working out time to running and getting ready. My goal was to run the race in 60 minutes...I ran in 57 minutes and 51 seconds. Colton and Cannon ran in the kids mile run that same day. They were so excited. Colton took 3rd running in 6 minutes and 54 seconds and Cannon came in a few seconds later.
Cannon's Stitches...
We were at Colton's baseball game and Cannon climbed up on the chain link fence and his hand got stuck when he tried to jump down. It cut his hand badly and we had to rush him to the ER. We were nervous that he had severed some tendons in his hand but after the Dr. looked at it, it looked like all he needed was stitches. He was very brave once we calmed him down (he thought we were taking him to the ER to die). It took a good 3 weeks for his hand to heal completely but we are thankful for his full recovery.
Grandpa & Grandma D's Week with Crew...
I think Crew definitely loved spending a week with his Grandpa and Grandma D. while we were in Kauai...He was spoiled and loved and we appreciated never having to worry about him while we were gone...Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!
