One year ago you looked like this...now you look like this...

Creed 11 Months

I didn't think I was sad that my baby is turning 1 until I downloaded his newborn baby picture. Creed is smiley, energetic, determined, and fun to have around. He has an easy going personality unless his brothers are bugging him and he is already learning how to defend himself. He is a champ at eating and sleeping. He knows how to walk but still chooses crawling first. He is getting all his teeth at once and has been miserable for a month now. He has stranger danger and will choose Mommy over Daddy. Happy 1st Birthday to my miracle baby. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday that you were sent to our family.

Crew's 3...

crew nov 2010DSC_0107.JPG copy

Crew is a determined, energetic, strong willed, and happy little boy.

Favorite Foods...Anything with SUGAR, cinnamon rolls, chocolate milk, and peanut butter crackers.

This last year has been a struggle with Crew and his eating habits. We are hoping this next year he will learn to try new foods and become a better eater.

Favorite Show...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Favorite Movie...Cars and The Mater Movie

Favorite Toy...Cars (especially cars from the Disney Cars Movie)

Favorite Friends...Stockton and DJ

Crew is very territorial about "HIS" toys

Is finally potty trained. It took him awhile to figure out how to go #2 on the toilet.

Crew gets to start preschool in January and he is so excited.

Crew is our child that keeps us on our toes each and everyday. We hope his year as a 3 year old brings him happiness, good health, and he will learn lots of new things.

Cannon's Poster...

Cannon submitted a poster for a bully rally that was put on for our school district this year. He came up with an idea for his poster and worked hard to make it look good. He submitted his poster and we received a call from the counselor at school saying Cannon had won a prize (honorable mention) for his poster. We attended the bully rally and Cannon was so excited to see his poster hanging on the wall of the building.

Creed is 11 months...

Creed 11 Months

Can't believe we are one month away from celebrating this little guy's first birthday. My favorite thing about Creed is that he is an eater. He will not refuse food and will eat anything and everything we give him.

-just broke his foot tooth on the bottom and working on the other bottom tooth (my kids all started teething around 11 months)

-is really close to walking...has taken up to 12 steps on his own

-we took the gate down on our stairs and he loves to teeter on the top stair. it looks like he is going to fall right down the stairs and it scares me to death.

-he sleeps from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

-he gets into everything, but he is our little angel and we love him to pieces!

Halloween...

The highlight of halloween this year was watching crew trick or treat. he could not believe that all he had to say was trick or treat to get one of his favorite things in the world 'CANDY'. colton thought he was old enough to go trick or treating alone with his friends in our neighborhood. he had a great time and got lots of candy. cannon went trick or treating with his friends for awhile and then was my little sidekick for the rest of the night. cannon and i went to a few fun houses together. greg got into it this year and wore a scary mask to answer the door and had fun scaring the trick or treaters. crew loved scaring the kids with his daddy. a few of other fun things we did...

-ihop for dinner

-attended a neighborhood halloween party

-watched a scary movie

-a fun dinner at a friends house before trick or treating

-homemade donuts & hot cocoa

Slimy The Snake...

The boys caught a snake in Grandpa and Grandma D's front yard one weekend when we were down visiting. They wanted to keep the snake for a pet and the snake found a new home in a mayo jar with grass and a few weeds thrown in. The boys decided to name him Slimy. Then one day they decided to throw in a live grasshopper to see if Slimy would eat it. Slimy didn't eat the grasshopper and now had a new friend take up residence in the mayo jar. After having Slimy a few weeks and I was the one mainly looking at him each day since the boys thought the best place for his jar was in the kitchen, I started to feel bad for him. So, right before Disneyland we talked to the boys about letting Slimy go so he wouldn't die while we were gone. The boys decided that was the best option for Slimy. They took Slimy over to the canal by our house and let him go. They walked home in tears and continued to cry for another 2 hours. They were so sad to let Slimy go.

Creed is 10 months...

Now that Creed is super mobile, it is impossible to get a good picture of him. But, I didn't want to let another month pass without posting about our sweet baby boy.

-Crawls

-Pulls himself up to everything

-Walks along furniture and has even taken a few steps on his own

-Is on a super great night schedule, but still trying to figure out a good nap schedule

-He is an awesome eater...loves tomatoes, peas, beans, oranges, peaches, and pears. He will eat anything.

-Says da da

-loves to smile

California Vacation...

We had an awesome time on our vacation to California. We decided not to give Colton, Cannon, and Crew any presents for their birthdays this year and take a trip to Disneyland instead. It was definitely a fun way to celebrate and I know it is something they will always remember. We actually flew out on Cannon's birthday and had fun celebrating our first night there. We were able to stay at my sister Megan and her husband Todd's home and they were the perfect hosts. The kids favorite part was Disneyland, but we were able to do lots of fun things while we were there. Crew thought most of the rides were SCARY, but that never seemed to stop him from going on the rides again. I think his favorite part was meeting the characters and watching the parades. Colton was brave and conquered his fear of roller coasters and Screaming became his favorite at Disneyland. Cannon is our daredevil, but does not like spooky rides and still hated Tower of Terror, but was so excited about his Pluto souvenir hat and still hasn't taken it off except for school. The kids loved trading pins at Disneyland for the 2nd time and were so excited about the pins they came home with. It was so fun to see Crew experience his first beach. He loved the waves and sand and would love to run to the water and run away as the wave would come in. Colton and Cannon were in heaven seeing their favorite baseball team (the Colorado Rockies) play the Dodgers while we were there. We were excited because we scored $2.00 tickets on Stubhub for $40.00 seats. The boys also loved the swimming pool at Megan and Todd's apartment and spent many hours swimming. We got to eat at some yummy restaurants and enjoyed a couple relaxing days too. The weather was perfect the whole time we were there and was able to enjoy mid 70 temperatures each day. It was a perfect vacation even if Crew had a few meltdowns here and there ;) My Mom and Dad kept Creed, we missed him, but I think he had fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
