5K

I have set a goal to run the 5K in Idaho Falls on the 4th of July.  I just started training this week and already want to quit.  It is so hard to run and I am so sore.  So, I am posting this here so I won't give up.  It is out there now, so back to the training.  Hope I can stick with it!

I'm jealous. I really want to run a marathon sometime, but enjoy speed walking over running. Some say my speed walk is a jog, but it feels totally different--running is HARD! Hang in there. If you do it, I will feel inspired to do one sometime myself!

Wow I would love to say that I am training for one but I am not. That is a great goal that you have set for yourself. Good luck.

Good for you, you can do it. I am impressed that you are already training. I have a super training schedule if you need one. I got it from See Jane Run, a running shop here in town. We have the race for the cure next weekend. I am signed up, I may show up to get my t-shirt. We will see!!

Em, for $29.99 you ought to buy the Nike iPod+. It is made for the iPod Nano. Britt & I bought the Nike iPod+ a couple weeks ago, they say you need special shoes but we attached the chip to the outside of our shoes. This thing keeps track of our per mile time, how frequently we run and even can prepare you for a race (5K, 10K, Marathon, etc). It is awesome. Good Luck with the 5K, you can do it! -Johnny
