Moving Water...
This just pulled at my heartstrings when I saw Colton moving water with his Grandpa and his Dad. I have such fond memories of spending many many hours in the summer at my grandpa and grandma's house. They lived on 22 acres and had horses and 2 big fields that they would hay. I would love to go help move water and explore the fields with my cousins. We could always find something to entertain our time. From exploring the barns, to picking raspberries, to feeding the horses carrots, to building forts, to moving water and having water fights after, and the list goes on and on. In the winter we would spend hours sleigh riding and walking through the trees and making snow paths. My mind is full of amazing memories from Grandpa and Grandma's house. After my Grandma passed away, my Grandpa moved into the basement apartment of the house and my parents bought my Grandparents house from them. Now my children are lucky enough to start building the same memories I have. So, when I saw Colton moving water, I just had to document it with a picture. Colton also helped my Dad feed the cows and names them too. He named one Chocolate Marshmellow and the other one Bowler. What fun times!

Your boys are so cute! I am sure watching them do that brought back lots of great memories! I am sure grandpa was happy to have the help too!
Wow, that's awesome he's out there helping! He'll have so many life long memories from it. It's so crazy to watch these kids grow up and how fast its all happening.
Fun pictures....I am glad you have good memories of your time as a child....you do have awesome cousins that you had lots of fun with too. We need to get a picture of Uncle Bart and sons and Johnny moving water....they are experts! Love you and miss you.
That was the life--we did have good times there. I'm glad your boys will have the same fun memories of the farm.
It was fun to read and remember all the times moving water and sleigh riding...cute to see Colton now joing in the fun...
Oh, good old moving water. I think Johnny will be happy to see it in pictures rather than doing it in real life. Looks like you guys had fun.
What cool memories that your boys will have....that is soooo neat that they will be the same as yours as a child. I love that!
It's great to be able to incorporate fun memories with hard work. A nice thing for those little boys to learn. And Crew is really getting cuter all the time. He is just such a sweet baby!
Your boys will never look at pipes in a field the same. I know I don't. Hard Work describes it best.
Em, the reason you and Meg have "fond memories" of moving water is because you rarely did it!!! In fact I can't remember either of you doing it, maybe you were eating raspberries or feeding the horses. :) I hate moving water, but that is because I did it every day! Love you, glad to see the tradition carries on to yet another generation.
what a good little worker! He is so dang cute!
Mike's impressed! He moved pipe for years growing up to earn money. Where is your grandpa's farm?
So fun to hear from you on my blog. I love when people leave a message because most likely if they know me and enjoy reading my blog, I will enjoy reading theres. You have a darling family. I recognized your husband as soon as I saw the picture of him. I think I just remember him from seeing your wedding invite years back. I'm sure your life is very adventurous with all those boys. Good to hear from you!
