1st Day of School...

This summer was really busy, so I was looking forward to the schedule and everyday routine that school brings. This summer was hard due to the fact that my 2 older boys wanted to always play with friends and be on the go doing fun things. I felt like their "cruise director" all summer. I loved providing them fun activities and letting them have friends over all summer, but it really threw my younger 2 boys' schedules off. Crew, my 2 year old, would get so upset with the comings and goings of his brothers that he would just throw fit after fit about wanting to go and do what his brothers were doing. I have fond memories of the summer of 2010, but it was also crazy busy. Since school has started, life from 8:30 - 3:30 is very calm and scheduled. We don't have a whole lot going on and I am enjoying staying in my house with a little less chaos. 3:30 hits and it is a different type of crazy from our summer...we usually have dinner at 4:30 so the boys can eat before football practice. We do homework whenever we can sneak it in, the boys shower, we read scriptures and say prayers as a family, the boys read, and it is bedtime. So far I like this new routine, but I have to be organized and get lots of stuff done during the day, so I can be 100% in mom mode from 3:30 on. Here is to hoping that my boys love the 2010-2011 school year...

I have to shed a few tears looking at those pictures of Colton. He looks so grown up. Love the ones with the friends too. You have had a busy summer. I do hope that you are able to enjoy just a tiny bit of Emily time. You deserve it and you are a WONDERFUL mother with 4 busy boys. Hope the little get away next week will be relaxing and fun and full of memories. Can't wait to have that baby Creed with grandpa and me. Thanks for taking me in again. You and Greg are always welcoming to me and those boys melt my heart completely. Love you tons!

STOP!!! I am with mom, Colton looks way too old, it seems like yesterday we were laying in the old house watching Monsters Inc. Love all your pictures though! I had to double take the first one of Crew because with the helmet he looks so much like Colton. Love and miss you all!
