Spring Break Road Trip...We decided to get the heck out of dodge and road trip it during the kids spring break from school. The car was packed to the max and we headed to Utah for Easter weekend. On Monday we loaded the car back up and headed for Boise. We shopped, ate, and swam. The weather was pretty crappy, but we still managed to have a great time. We started Tuesday morning off with the boys wanting to swim first thing. We headed to the mall and had an early lunch at Cheesecake Factory. We took the kids swimming at the YMCA indoor aquatic center. They have an amazing facility. It had indoor diving boards, squirt fountains and a kiddie pool, indoor slide, etc. Colton took the swim test with one of the lifeguards so he could go off the diving boards. He had to swim both ways of an Olympic size lap pool to pass and he did a great job. He then proceeded to jump off the high dive. He said, "it went soooo fast." It scared him a little bit, so we had to coax him into going one more time. The boys loved the water slide and had a fabulous time swimming there. We just showed up at our friends (The Johnson's house) and the boys had such a fun time playing with Adam and Luke and we had a great time catching up with Ben and Jen.
We then started the long treck home to unpacking and laundry. We had a great time and hopefully this will become our new tradition. We loved every second of it. The best traveler award goes to Crew. He was such a good baby the entire time. He was in his car seat alot and he was such a trooper. He went with the flow and was so easy to take everywhere. Looks like you guys had a fabulous time! I'm jealous I LOVE Boise, and now they have a cheesecake factory too?? What gives? I would give my right arm to spend a few hours alone in that mall, lucky lucky girl! Sorry that you had to come home to the world's crappiest weather, you really should have just stayed for a few more days! Glad to have you back though.

I know how cram packed your car trunk was before you headed to Boise, so I can only imagine how smashed in everything was after your shopping......Love you so much and miss you too....I agree that Crew is an amazingly good and easy boy......
That sounds like a blast!! I'm glad you got to go and spend some family time together. It's funny how you can travel such a short distance and have so much fun. The swimming is always a hit!!
What FUN!!! Glad you had a great getaway!!! Times spent with family are the best!!! I think third babies must just come easy. Molly was amazing on our trips this month. We came home to crappy weather also. A bummer after spending most of March in 80 degree weather.
We were so glad you guys "popped" in. It was great to see you and the boys loved seeing each other. Thanks for letting us tag along for dinner. Glad the rest of your trip was fantastic and safe.

How fun. I can't believe he jumped off the high dive, I won't even do that. Your family sure does some really cool things.
Sounds like you guys have also been quite the travelers lately. Those quick road trips can be so much fun.(But it is never fun to come back to reality). I hope you did some great shopping.
